{Dreaming} about a day at the beach.
My stars, It is {so} hot and I am {so} land-locked, dreaming of a sea breeze. To pass the time I search etsy for seahorses, mermaids, octopi. sailors, pirates {arggh}, beaches, oceans and escapes in general. I found some awe inspiring {dare I say titillating} pieces today.
Oh to be a 'shehorse' for just a day and drift out to sea ♥. Cool, serene, and lovely... this signed, digital print is of an original drawing in graphite on paper. Note the beautiful curves and sense of calmness artist Jeffrey Richter portrays by fusing the seahorse with the human form.

Or... perhaps... your dreams are more in mind with those of the fisherman's wife as photographed by Elisa Lazo de Valdez. Whether you draw away or are drawn ever so much closer, you have been moved {dare I say aroused} by natures mystery and beauty.

Things I love Thursday: Let them eat cake...
{Supposedly} When Marie Antoinette learning that the peasants had no bread she exclaimed "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche" {"Let them eat cake"},reflecting the princess's obliviousness to the condition of her people as she wallowed in luxury. Here are a few of my {favorite} Marie Antoinette inspired etsy finds.
1st up, in honor of summer {pirate season}, I am maddly drawn to 'The Rianna', a Pirate Tricorn ♥ inspired by {both} Pirates & Sea Maidens: Tospy Turvey Design -Fine Millinery for Stage, Film & Play.
The infamous Louise Black has a Cameo Corset for ALL occasions, including this Young Marie Antoinette in Rocco Stripes!
The Cosmic Firefly has out done himself this time with this Octopus Girl Necklace, an Original Assemblage Jewelry Design. It carries both the summer pirate {arrgg} and 'Let them Eat Cake", themes.
This OOAK, Marie Antoinette Art Wig just screams of Cotton Candy Carnivals, the Circus & the {Pinkest} Lemonade by TiffanyDeMichele- Theatrical Wigs, Fashion Wigs and Handmade Extensions
Lastly, how about a pair of romantic, lace spats, layered with, roses and Victorian {steampunk} frills by Alina Ionescu Design all the way from Romania?

Full Moon Salt Bathing
Hello, Sweets! Did you know bathing under a Full Moon can help maximise your bath salt benefits?
When the moon is full {or new}, your body is at it's peak for mineral absorption and detoxification. Mineral absorption releases toxins from the blood to the skin and the skin then releases the toxins into the water, thus: detoxification. It is thought that a 30 minute bath {HIGH in minerals} is equal in cleansing to a 3 day fast but {MUCH} more enjoyable.
SteamBath Factory bath minerals include 3 {luxury} salts: Israeli Dead Sea Salts, Himalayan Salts and Ultra Epsom Salts. The next full moon will be Wednesday June 15th. Make sure you have your favorite flavor on hand!
♥ Israel Dead Sea salt is 100% pure, harvested from the Southern Dead Sea in Israel where King David himself bathed and where the mineral content is the highest.
♥ Himalayan Sea salt is from the Earths Jurassic period and considered the purest {and PINKest} salt onplanet Earth.
♥ Ultra Epsom Salt is pharmaceutical grade and known for its exceptional purity and therapeutic value. It hales from a bitter saline spring at Epsom in Surrey, England.

Pirates, Mermaids & Zombies- OH MY!

Ahoy, Sweets! I have been ever-so zealously awaiting the arrival of the newest Pirates of the Caribbean movie: On Stranger Tides starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz. In part because I wanted to draw inspiration for a few more pirate/ocean/mermaid scents for my perfumes and in part because I can always use a 2 hour tropical get-away. Be ye fore warned: Go ye not into the theater expecting a great-grand story line that will keep you on the edge of yer seat matey. But if you want to get lost for a couple hours in whimsical costumes while brushing upon your pirate lingo and admiring a great deal of pirate (Johnny Depp) booty I say- full speed ahead ye landlubbers!
This 4th instalment had a {not-so-scary} zombie crew members, sword fights, prison breaks, perilous cliff dives, a mutiny, {super-model} mermaids, a search for the fountain of youth & even Black Beard himself. A good portion of the movie revolves around trying to catch a mermaid {sounds simple enough, right?}. Disney's newest shining star, Astrid Berges-Frisbey plays Syrena, the enchanting mermaid who just happens to be part of a coven of vampire-like-mermaids {words simply can't describe the bloody-horror}. Go watch fer yer self unless yer chicken- Yo-Ho-Ho!
